🧼 Physical Cleaning Tips (External & Internal)

1. Power Down First

  • Always shut down and unplug your PC before cleaning.

  • If you're opening the case, ground yourself to avoid static discharge.

2. Exterior Wipe-Down

  • Use a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.

  • Avoid spraying directly—apply to the cloth first.

  • Clean the case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

3. Dust Removal (Inside the Case)

  • Use compressed air to blow out dust from:

    • Fans (case, CPU, GPU)

    • Heatsinks

    • PSU vents

    • RAM slots and motherboard crevices

  • Hold fans still while cleaning to prevent damage.

4. Filter Maintenance

  • Remove and wash dust filters with water, then dry thoroughly.

  • If your case has mesh panels, gently vacuum or brush them.

5. Cable Management

  • Reorganize cables to improve airflow and reduce dust buildup.

  • Use Velcro ties or cable combs for a clean tactical look.
