🧼 Physical Cleaning Tips (External & Internal)
1. Power Down First
Always shut down and unplug your PC before cleaning.
If you're opening the case, ground yourself to avoid static discharge.
2. Exterior Wipe-Down
Use a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.
Avoid spraying directly—apply to the cloth first.
Clean the case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
3. Dust Removal (Inside the Case)
Use compressed air to blow out dust from:
Fans (case, CPU, GPU)
Heatsinks
PSU vents
RAM slots and motherboard crevices
Hold fans still while cleaning to prevent damage.
4. Filter Maintenance
Remove and wash dust filters with water, then dry thoroughly.
If your case has mesh panels, gently vacuum or brush them.
5. Cable Management
Reorganize cables to improve airflow and reduce dust buildup.
Use Velcro ties or cable combs for a clean tactical look.
